The New Zealander and former banking executive being sought by Australian police has been named in media reports as Jon Waldron.
Waldron, according to the Australian Financial Review, is one of two former Commonwealth Bank technology executives who allegedly received over $2 million for awarding contracts to a US firm.
The other was Keith Hunter, who was arrested on Tuesday in Sydney and has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging he was bribed by Californian-based tech firm, ServiceMesh.
Before being sacked last year, the 61-year old was responsible for Commonwealth Bank's IT budget of $1.5 billion, the AFR reported.
Hunter and Waldron, who was also high up in the bank's IT team, are accused of colluding with ServiceMesh's founder to win the tech firm's business, the AFR reported.
