The next chair of NZ Post's board has been confirmed as a Queenstown-based lawyer and company director.
Jane Taylor joins NZ Post's board today and will become chairwoman when former deputy prime minister Sir Michael Cullen retires from the position on October 31.
Taylor is currently chair of Landcare Research, and deputy chair of Radio New Zealand.She is a director of Silver Fern Farms, Hirepool Group and OTPP NZ Forest Investments.
Finance Minister Bill English thanked Cullen for his "excellent stewardship" of the board during the restructuring of NZ Post over the past six years.
In April the NZ Post Group announced it had received a $495 million indicative offer from the NZ Superannuation Fund and Accident Compensation Corp to buy 25 percent and 20 percent respectively of subsidiary Kiwi Group Holdings, which owns Kiwibank.
