The owners of collapsed finance company Money Mart Direct have put their helicopter up for sale on auction website Trade Me for $3 million.
The auction of the 2008 Eurocopter EC120B closes on October 27 and is under the name Palmytrades.
Records show the chopper is registered to Brown Business Trust, with an address in the name of Paul Brown, who along with his wife Kelly are the sole shareholders of Voyager Holdings, Money Mart Direct's parent company, the Waikato Times reported.
So far no bids have been put up for the helicopter, but more than 4000 people have logged on to check out the expensive item.
Money Mart Direct, which offered car finance, personal loans and debt consolidation, and had car dealerships in Hamilton, Palmerston North and Christchurch, was placed in receivership on Tuesday by PricewaterhouseCoopers, on behalf of UDC Finance.
