Some Westpac customers have been unable to use their Eftpos cards after an unscheduled outage in New Zealand this afternoon.
A handful of customers have posted on Westpac New Zealand's Facebook page to say they have been unable to pay with their cards, despite having money in their account.
Westpac spokesman Chris Mirams would not say how many people had been affected.
He said Westpac's technical team was working to fix the issue as soon as possible, but could not confirm when the problem would be resolved.
In a screenshot of an email sent from Westpac posted by one customer on Facebook, the problem was described as an "unscheduled outage".
