Jailed former Bridgecorp director Rod Petricevic will have no special Easter meal for his first weekend behind bars.
It is understood Petricevic is on remand at Mt Eden Prison in central Auckland.
The prison is operated by private company Serco, which said prisoners were "provided with appropriate quantities of healthy food which meet their dietary needs".
"Menus during the Easter weekend are no different from any other time of the year.
"Breakfast consists of items such as cereal and toast, lunch includes items such as sandwiches and fruit, and dinner includes items such as macaroni and cheese and meatloaf," a spokeswoman told the Weekend Herald.
