ASB bank has promoted its technology boss to head up the bank's retail arm bringing technology and retail under one person.
Russell Jones will take on the role of executive general manager retail banking from February replacing Ian Park who is leaving the company after 30 years with the bank.
Jones has been with the ASB since 2008 and is currently executive general manager of technology and innovation.
The appointment will bring responsibility for the bank's retail and digital arms together from February 1.
ASB chief executive officer Barbara Chapman said the decision to combine retail and digital would help keep ASB one step ahead of the evolution which banking was going through.
