For the second year running, ANZ has been named the supreme winner of the YWCA Equal Pay Awards.
The annual award ceremony, held in Auckland this evening, recognised best practice employers who create more progressive working environments for women in New Zealand.
YWCA Auckland chief executive, Monica Briggs said ANZ had "not stopped in their mission to create a more gender inclusive workplace for their staff" and were "true champions of equal pay".
The Minister for Women, Louise Upston, who spoke at the awards, urged employers around the country to examine how the skills and experience of women in their organisations were used and rewarded, and said work would continue until equality was achieved.
"I am a huge supporter of initiatives that invite businesses to share best practice in workplace diversity," she said. "I would encourage more employers to take up these practices so that equal pay becomes more embedded in our working culture."
