Axa Asia Pacific in strong position

Axa Asia Pacific has seen significant growth in Australia and New Zealand and all Asian operations are growing strongly. It has increased sales in New Zealand through the recent acquisition of the Bank of New Zealand's investment arm.

Chief executive Les Owen told shareholders at the annual meeting yesterday Axa was in a stronger position than it was five years ago.
