Virgin Blue Holdings suffered a fall in domestic and international passenger numbers in April.
The airline group said it carried 1.29 million domestic passengers in the month, down 2.1 per cent from the corresponding month last year. International passengers totalled 200,703, down 19.2 per cent on the prior corresponding month.
The sharp drop in international passenger numbers was due to the withdrawal of Pacific Blue from the domestic New Zealand market, Virgin Blue said.
Domestic passenger numbers for the year to April 30 were up 1.6 per cent on the previous corresponding period, at 13.42 million.
