Moana, starring the voice talents of Dwayne Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho, was the most watched film on United Airlines and had the greatest views per month at Air New Zealand.
While the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast rated highly on both United Airlines and Qantas flights.

When it came to television shows, comedies appeared to be favoured more strongly than other genres.
The most-watched television shows was almost unanimously The Big Bang Theory, with the half-hour episodes a favourite among those flying.
It remained top of the list at Qantas after proving a hit there last year.
And the science-based sitcom was also viewed more than 400,000 times on Virgin Australia flights.
Food varied across the airlines, with bird-based dishes among the top requests.
Virgin economy passengers seemed to favour the flavoursome chicken coconut curry with basmatic rice.
While Air New Zealand served more than half a million portions of their chicken and vegetables to their customers.
Qantas proved the exception to the rule, with their most-beloved dish in economy being the vegetarian pumpkin tortellini.
Premium economy and first class passengers preferred meat-based meals however, opting for roast duck breast with ginger and the classic steak sandwiches respectively.
