The creditors of troubled airline Origin Pacific should know by the end of the month where they stand financially.
The Nelson-based operator stopped passenger services last week because of a severe cash shortage, although its freight business is still functioning.
An advisory group has been formed to consider the future of the company.
Spokesman Simon Reece-Jones from law firm Kensington Swan says there is a glimmer of hope for some sort of salvage package.
He says they are considering a number of positive opportunities for the sale of the freight and passenger operations.
