Flagship carrier Qantas Airways rose 2.2 per cent to A$3.25 after it said it would maintain dividend payouts despite a fall in passenger numbers caused by fears about the deadly Sars virus.
"We don't have any intention of cutting the dividend," said Qantas chief financial officer Peter Gregg.
