Qantas off to Beijing

Qantas Airways yesterday announced it would begin flying between Sydney and Beijing early next year.

The airline will operate three services a week to the Chinese capital from January 9. Qantas already flies three times weekly between Sydney and Shanghai.

It expects to be able to offer a daily service by 2007.
