Australian Airline Qantas has confirmed it is in talks to buy a stake in Vietnam's Pacific Airlines, the country's second-largest carrier.
Qantas spokesman Simon Rushton said that if negotiations with the Ho Chi Minh City-based airline were successful, it would be Qantas, rather than its low-cost offshoot, Jetstar, that would acquire the stake.
