KEY POINTS:
A former Qantas executive agreed to plead guilty and serve eight months in prison for his role in fixing rates for international air cargo shipments.
Bruce McCaffrey, who worked in Los Angeles as Qantas's vice-president of freight for the Americas, also agreed to pay a US$20,000 ($26,000) fine and to co-operate with the Justice Department.
