Plummeting temperatures could be good news for domestic air travellers this month.
Air New Zealand has announced a new promotion, titled Septemperature, where flight prices will be determined by the local temperature in three domestic regions daily.
The sale kicked off this morning with $4 flights for Blenheim, $6 flights for Nelson and $3 flights from Dunedin on offer - in line with chilly temperatures in the regions at 9am.
Air New Zealand spokeswoman Louise Struthers said it was the first time the national carrier had allowed the weather to determine sale fares.
