SYDNEY - Australia's fourth domestic carrier is closer to taking wing after getting a certificate of airworthiness on its first Boeing 737 aircraft.
OzJet chief executive Hans van Pelt said getting the Civil Aviation Safety Authority certificate was a major step in the final stages of its application for an air operator's certificate.
The airline, founded by aviation and motor racing identity Paul Stoddart, hopes to launch its all-business class domestic service in the next few weeks.
The airline plans eight flights daily between Sydney and Melbourne.
