Origin Pacific confident of profit

Chairman Robert Inglis of Origin Pacific said the firm was on target to post a profit in the year to June.

The Nelson based airline ran into financial trouble in 2004 after Qantas abandoned its code-sharing agreement.

Creditors voted for a rescue deal in May under which payments totalling 10c in the dollar have been made so far.
