The latest monthly traffic update from Auckland International Airport Ltd confirms that more Australians are visiting New Zealand.
Arrivals from Australia at New Zealand's busiest airport in September were up 15.4 per cent on September last year.
Overall, international arrivals rose 1.2 per cent and domestic passenger numbers rose 1.8 per cent.
There was a 7.4 per cent fall in the number of domestic aircraft movements and a 5.6 per cent rise in international aircraft movements at the airport in September compared with September last year.
There was a 12.2 per cent increase in arrivals from the US and a 1.5 per cent fall in arrivals from the UK. The number of Canadians arriving rose 13.4 per cent from last year and the number of Germans rose 10.9 per cent.
There was a 25.7 per cent fall in arrivals from Korea but an 11.8 per cent increase in arrivals from China.
