Merger in the skies

RIO DE JANEIRO: TAM Airline of Brazil and LAN Airline of Chile say they have reached a nonbinding agreement to merge.

The two airlines are the largest in their countries.

If the deal goes through it is expected to create Latin America's biggest airline.
