Qantas has unveiled its new uniform for 12,600 of its staff at a fashion parade featuring supermodel Miranda Kerr.
The airline used Australian designer Martin Grant to design the garments, the first new uniform in 10 years. The outfit features French navy suiting and white shirting with splashes of ruby red and fuchsia pink, designed to represent the Qantas triangle logo.
Female employees will wear a combination of dress tops, a suit and a trench overcoat with a scarf and trilby hat in a knitted fabric made from recycled bottle tops.
The airline's international division has struggled in the past few years and has entered an alliance with Emirates to cut losses on long-haul routes.
