Jetstar has rejigged its planned schedule to give red-eye travellers a slightly longer lie-in.
The airline is due to start domestic flights in June and says changes had been prompted by feedback from business travellers and the tourism industry. Jetstar is replacing Qantas on domestic routes.
The new schedule will see the first Auckland-Christchurch service move to 6.45am from 6.20am.
The first of the three daily Auckland-Wellington services is pushed out from 6am to 7.10am, arriving an hour later.
Evening flights between Auckland and Wellington have been moved back in a move the airline says will improve the spread of flights throughout the day.
The airline is still awaiting regulatory approval to fly domestic routes.
