Christchurch International Airport has today appointed Malcolm Johns - who is currently the head of bus network InterCity - as its new chief executive.
Johns will take over at the start of next year from outgoing leader Jim Boult.
David Mackenzie, chairman of Christchurch International Airport, said Johns would bring comprehensive knowledge of international tourism issues.
He also had proven leadership abilities and business vision developed in the passenger transport sector.
"Malcolm will be relocating from Auckland to Christchurch and he and his family are looking forward to becoming part of the Christchurch community," Mackenzie said.
