Morning flights between Auckland and Dunedin will be re-timed following the addition of a new Airbus A320 to Air New Zealand's domestic fleet.
The changes will kick in from March 2015, when the airline will operate an earlier direct return service between the two cities, leaving Auckland at 7.25am and returning from Dunedin at 9.55am.
Air New Zealand announced the addition this month, and said it had accelerated the purchase of the aircraft to allow for improvements to the Dunedin-Auckland schedule, in response to customer feedback.
Dunedin International Airport Chief Executive John McCall said the greater flexibility offered by the flight changes would be particularly welcomed by the business community.
