Fiji Airways adds third direct flight to Suva

An additional flight to Suva, Fiji has been added to meet demand.

Fiji Airways announced today that it will add a third direct flight to its Auckland-Suva route starting early next year.

The additional flight to Suva, Fiji will commence in April for all passengers travelling from Auckland International Airport.

Managing director and CEO of Fiji Airways Andre Vilijoen said the additional flight was added following an increased demand for the route.

"The Auckland-Suva service is a key, direct route for both Fijian ex-pats and business travelers," he said.

Further adjustments to the Auckland-Suva flights schedule will begin on November 27 and see departure times for all existing flights advanced by two and half hours.

Last year, more than 120,000 New Zealanders visited Fiji.

The additional flight to Suva will operate on Wednesdays.
