Kiwis travelling to and from Australia are urged to check-in early as workers strike across Australian international airports today.
Up to 10,000 employees of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, including the Australian Border Force would be striking from 12.01am to 11.50pm today, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
An Auckland Airport spokesperson said all flights departing Auckland to Australia have run as usual this morning.
He expected flights would depart on time as usual throughout today but advised passengers to check their airline's websites for updates.
Air New Zealand advised customers flying out of Australia to check-in earlier than usual and allow additional time after check-in to complete the border security process before departures as delays was likely.
