Regional airline Origin Pacific yesterday asked its creditors to be patient and not take "any action which would jeopardise restructuring and sale opportunities" which were still being worked through.
The airline - which suspended passenger services this month as it hit financial difficulties - confirmed that the freight business "was continuing successfully while we have been determining the full extent of our creditor liabilities".
In a letter to creditors, Origin Pacific founder Robert Inglis confirmed that several parties were undertaking due diligence on the freight business.
It is understood the parties include courier company Freightways and Origin Pacific shareholder Mike Pero.
The airline's options would be clearer in another two weeks when the parties might have made firm offers.
"We continue to believe that should a receiver or liquidator be appointed this may not be in your best interests."
Inglis said the company would make another announcement on September 11.
