A baby had the tip of a toe sliced off in an accident aboard an Air New Zealand flight last year, it has been revealed.
The incident was one of more than 2000 serious events that were reported to the Civil Aviation Authority last year, the Dominion Post reported.
The baby's toe was sliced when it's parents attempted to stow away their in-flight entertainment screen into the arm of a seat on an October 15 Air New Zealand flight.
The CAA did not reveal whose flight the incident took place on, but Air New Zealand confirmed to the Dominion Post it took place aboard one of their flights and the incident was under investigation.
Other events revealed by the CAA included passengers smoking on flights, drunk and disorderly passengers, a crew member falling asleep, passengers taking replica guns on board and a passenger joking about having a bomb strapped to his ankle.
