British Airways has begun the search for a new chief executive to replace Australian Rod Eddington later this year.
The Observer says the airline has drawn up a list of executives and internal high flyers including Tony Tyler, chief operating officer at Cathay Pacific, and James Hogan, who now runs Gulf Air.
Eddington plans to travel around Europe before returning to Australia by January.
