The reasons for a Commerce Commission raid on Air New Zealand's offices last week remain shrouded in secrecy.
The commission executed a search warrant on the airline's Auckland head office on Wednesday and Thursday but will not say what the search related to.
Air New Zealand would say only that the investigation related to a small part of the airline's business dating back before 2001.
"Although it is not appropriate to comment on the subject of the investigation, Air New Zealand believes at this point that it will not prove to have financial implications," the company said in a statement.
