Air New Zealand will fly to Bali again next winter to meet strong demand.
The airline will use a Boeing 767-300 to operate twice-weekly nonstop Auckland-Denpasar services from June 1 to October 15 next year, three weeks longer than this year's season.
Fares on sale from yesterday started from $599 one-way for a basic economy fare. The announcement comes in response to high passenger numbers for the 2012 season, particularly during the school holidays, and clear demand for a second season, says the airline's group general manager Australasia, Bruce Parton.
He says New Zealanders have jumped at the opportunity to get to Bali and figures for this winter show a 38 per cent increase in travel to the island compared with the 2011 winter.
The airline expects strong demand for seats. More than a third of the seats to Bali this year sold within a week.
