Air New Zealand is reviewing its look as it prepares for new planes next year.
A redesign of staff uniforms is already under way and the airline's livery is also being looked at.
Chief executive Rob Fyfe said the koru and teal colour were integral parts of the brand that would be retained, but with new Boeing 777-300s arriving late next year it was time to look at modernising the image. This would include seats designed in-house.
"Whenever we look at introducing a new aircraft it's a good catalyst to look at everything," Mr Fyfe said.
While it was possible the review could result in no change at all, a new look could emphasise the youthfulness of the airline's fleet, he said.
The present uniform was introduced four years ago and its replacement will be worn from early 2011.
