Air New Zealand today said it carried 900,000 passengers in January, 5.5 per cent up on the same month last year.
The flag carrier's revenue and passenger capacity also improved over the same month last year.
Air NZ's domestic load factor in December was 77.7 per cent and 0.2 per cent lower than in the previous same month. Domestic load factor for the month was 76.2 per cent in line with January last year while Air NZ's Tasman and Pacific Island load factor at 80.3 per cent was 1.4 percentage points lower.
The Asia/Japan load factor rose 2.8 percentage points to 79.1 per cent.
The airline's North America and Europe load factor rose 3.5 percentage points to 88.5 per cent.
