Air New Zealand's former headquarters in Queen St, Auckland, have been sold to AMP NZ Office Trust for $33.3 million.
The airline has vacated 21 Queen St to move to new headquarters in the Viaduct Basin, leaving the building without an anchor tenant. But the trust said yesterday it would spend up to $70 million bringing the property up to prime quality.
The redevelopment gave it the chance to satisfy market demand for high-quality accommodation at affordable rents.
