Air New Zealand said its group wide yields, after removing foreign exchange impacts, were up by 1.9 per cent in October compared with the same month last year.
Air NZ carried 1.06 million passengers during the month, which was up 0.7 per cent on October last year.
Group-wide, the airline's load factor (the measure of how full its planes were) was 82.7 per cent, up 1.0 percentage points. Short haul passenger numbers were up by 1.3 per cent.
In its monthly update, Air NZ said its short haul yields were down 1.6 per cent while long haul yields were up 1.1 per cent.
Early this week, the Government sold 221 million ordinary shares, or about 20 per cent of the company, at $1.65 each. The Government has retained a controlling stake.
