Pumpkin Patch's outgoing employees may have found a new home with travel agent Flight Centre.
The childrenswear retailer went into liquidation this week after it was unable to find a buyer for the business, and its 1400 employees would be let go when it closed early next year.
Flight Centre NZ said expansion, new business and increased profits had created a number of vacancies, and it had reached out to the childrenswear retailer, asking interested staff to apply for its sales positions.
"We sympathise with the tough position these employees are in and recognise that they have good customer service skills and sales experience that would make them an asset to our company," said Flight Centre NZ peopleworks leader Michaela Connor.
"At Flight Centre NZ we have a truly one-of-a-kind culture," she said.
