New Zealand's trade deficit probably narrowed to $6.76 billion in the year ended May 31, according to the median forecast in a Bloomberg News survey of 10 economists.
The trade gap probably shrank as exports rose 14 per cent in May from a year earlier, or about three times the increase in imports, the survey showed. Statistics New Zealand will release the trade report tomorrow.
The shortfall was $6.9 billion in the year ended April 30.
