Tightening conditions on global commodity markets have come as no surprise to small to medium-sized agribusiness enterprises, according to an MYOB survey.
Most of the 1000 SMEs believed growth had peaked, the accounting firm's survey said.
Despite solid growth in the year to August, few expected those conditions to continue into 2015. Just 17 per cent of agribusiness SME operators forecast increased revenue in the year to September 2015, compared to an SME average of 38 per cent.
The number anticipating a fall in revenue was higher - 18 per cent compared to just 11 per cent overall - while 19 per cent were uncertain.
