A farmer-led lobby group has failed to get a judicial review of Transpower's planned pylon line through the Waikato.
New Era Energy sought the review of the Electricity Commission's decision approving the pylons, claiming it was biased.
Transpower's plan for 200km of high pylons, estimated to cost $683 million, was strongly opposed by farmers and landowners along the route.
The commission said yesterday the High Court had turned down the request for the judicial review. Commission chairman David Caygill welcomed the decision.
