Farm prices drop

Farm prices have fallen from a September median of $873,000 to $825,000 last month. Real Estate Institute figures out yesterday showed a lacklustre result in the volume of deals, with 173 farms selling last month, the same number as in September.

Institute president Howard Morley attributed the $48,000 drop to an increase in the number of cheaper properties being sold.
