It has not taken long for exporters to feel the benefits of a lower dollar.
The kiwi has been sliding for the last week, dropping below 64 US cents yesterday, to its lowest level in more than a year-and-a-half.
Alasdair Thompson of the Employers and Manufacturers Association says manufacturers are already chalking up new sales.
He says the slide could prove even more significant, with the dollar predicted to hit the 60 US cent level by the end of the year.
