Comvita to sell NZ products in Australia

Comvita has secured state approval to sell 28 New Zealand honey-derived products in Western Australia, including medical honey dressings.

The state restricts bee product imports because of the risk they may introduce European foulbrood, a bee disease.

Comvita's approved products include ones with low-honey content with which the bees have not been in direct contact as a result of processing.
