Local juice company Charlie's is making an attempt to shake up the children's drinks market, with the launch today of a new drink designed for kids.
The company says its new product, made from 50 per cent juice and 50 per cent water, is the first of its kind in the local children's drinks market.
Charlie's chief executive Stefan Lepionka said the new initiative was driven "from a genuine desire to provide parents with a healthy and convenient juice product they could give to their kids."
Lepionka said the drink had no added juice concentrate, sugar, colours or preservatives. A group of children were involved in developing the drink, with the 'pouch' proving easy to put into lunchboxes, to freeze and "to go bang when you stomp on them'.
