New Zealand exporters are setting their sights on the ASEAN group of countries.
Officials from the organisation are in Auckland for a meeting with exporters today to discuss trade opportunities.
Auckland Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Michael Barnett says the countries of ASEAN form a huge market, as they have twice the population of the United States on half the land base with total trade worth about $700 billion. He says that is a huge opportunity for New Zealand.
Mr Barnett says exporters will be looking for a competitive edge to do business in ASEAN countries.
