Guardian Health Care is changing its name to Bupa Care Services NZ from today following the British health fund's purchase of the New Zealand organisation in late 2007.
The 46 Guardian Health Care rest homes and hospitals, and 16 retirement villages, would be known by their local names.
The name change also applied to Guardian Health Care's personal medical alarm business.
