Australia's biggest locally owned coffee chain, Coffee Club, is to open its first New Zealand store next month, at the Westfield Queensgate centre in Lower Hutt.
The chain has 120 franchise outlets in Australia and sells more than 20 million cups of coffee a year. Factory shop plan A big Australian factory clearance operation, Direct Factory Outlets, is to set up a shop in Auckland. DFO last week opened its fourth centre at Essendon airport in Melbourne.
