Prime Minister Helen Clark will this Friday put the sales gloss on her Finance Minister's self-proclaimed "boring" Budget at a business lunch in Auckland.
The Auckland Chamber of Commerce will host Helen Clark at the lunch, which will be one of the few opportunities for business leaders to see her in person explaining Michael Cullen's plans, after the demise of the "NBR Budget Breakfast".
Chamber chief executive Michael Barnett says that with the Government's vision for New Zealand and an election to win, there is an opportunity to produce a Budget that will deliver a platform for growth.
"The question is, will that happen?"
The Business Herald will put Dr Cullen's third Budget under the knife on Friday, in a special six-page report within the Herald.
* Inquiries about the lunch at the Aotea Centre can be made by telephoning (09) 309 6100.
