Casualties of Fonterra takeover get payouts

About 80 Australian dairy workers being sacked by Nestle so the factory can be taken over by Fonterra are to be paid redundancy packages above the usual industry rate.

Fonterra announced last month it was buying Nestle's Dennington factory on the outskirts of Warrnambool in the western district of Victoria.
