Carter Holt Harvey today announced the appointment of Michael Falconer as chief financial officer.
Mr Falconer will replace Jonathan Mason. Mr Mason is leaving Carter Holt to join its US-parent International Paper in the role of vice president and treasurer.
Currently a senior banker at First NZ Capital, Michael Falconer also spent eight years working in New York for Credit Suisse First Boston.
Carter Holt said in a statement Mr Falconer would have responsibility for finance, audit, acquisition and divestment, tax and treasury. He will assume the role on May 9 and report directly to chief executive Peter Springford.
Carter Holt today also announced the appointment of Maree Webster as commercial director.
Ms Webster is currently Carter Holt's general manager of finance, strategy and investor relations. In her new role she will also have responsibility for supply chain, information technology, procurement and distribution.
Her appointment to the new role will take affect on May 1.
Shares in Carter Holt last traded yesterday at $2.04, having ranged between $1.94 and $2.66 over the past 12 months.
