Research and development company Canesis has announced the appointment of Andrew MacPherson as chief executive.
Mr MacPherson will take up the role on May 23.
Canesis specialises R&D of natural fibres, textiles, and keratin biopolymers. It is 75 per cent owned by Wool Equities Limited and 25 per cent by Wool Research, a wool industry incorporated society.
Mr MacPherson joins Canesis Network from AgVax Developments, where he was also chief executive.
Wool Equities' chief executive Mark O'Grady has been acting chief executive at Canesis since Dr Garth Carnaby retired from the role last November.
